DEQ Waste Tire Program
The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) administers the Waste Tire Program in Louisiana. LDEQ uses the Administrative Code (Title 33, Part VII, Solid Waste-Subpart 2, Chapter 105; View Regs) to regulate the program and other issues related to tires in Louisiana. See more information on the DEQ's website here: http://deq.louisiana.gov/page/waste-tires.
Have you noticed illegal dumping of tires in your area? The DEQ provides assistance for one-time cleanups. Use this form to request assistance.
The Waste Tire Program Task Force was created in 2013 through an Act of the Legislature (Read Act 323). In 2015, the Legislature required the Task Force to produce an annual report prior to the Legislative Session each year (Read Act 427). LITDA serves on the Task Force by attending frequent meetings, participating in Sub-Committees, and engaging members in important issues facing the Waste Tire Program.
